Since AIM is no more (which explains why it hasn't worked on my computer the past few months tbh) anyone who wants to contact me can do so on my skype or email--comment here if you want either, or throw me a PM!

So I haven't updated this in a while, but that's mostly because rl has been stressful as fuck. Work has kept me busy (tis the season for sad situations like you wouldn't believe :/). I've become distant with a few of you for various reasons, but I just wanted to wish you all a happy holidays and new year, because no matter what's gone down this past year I care about each and every person I follow on here. And if you guys ever need to talk, you can pm me or comment on any of my entries here or lj.

But anyway, I'll try to keep this updated with rl stuff though.

Lately it's just been dealing with the fallout of my sister eloping with the new guy--which sent my parents each into their own depression and made my mom's health problems worse. On the plus side, Tosh actually seems happy with this guy? I don't know, not holding my breath.

In other news, I'm going to try to go back to school in January. Funerary archeology here I come!

So renaming Sally Tink, short for Tinker-Bell, because I kept calling her Sandy accidentally and she wasn't answering to either that or Sally xD

Taken 2 was all right. They tried way too hard to set it up for a third movie though, and I hate it when movies are written just to allow more sequels. Still, Liam can get it at his age.

I keep having strange dreams (and I'm going to blame it on the cold meds) but they're all ideas that would make good books, so I've been jotting them down to write later. Missed my window on this, which sucks, but there will be other shots. I don't think they would have picked mine anyway--it's nowhere in the same league as the other authors they publish, and still needs a lot of work before it's a book people would want to read.

In other news They confirmed they're using the Dark Elves in Thor: The Dark World, so I can't fucking wait for that. It was already pretty obvious they were, but I wasn't going to celebrate until I heard for sure. I must be the only Loki fangirl who is looking forward to him getting the crap kicked out of him. Of course, I'm one of the only Loki fangirls who doesn't just want to fuck his brains out but knows he's a batshit insane villain, so...

Holy shit, just got done watching The Ward and wow. I won't spoil, but it's one of few movies I didn't guess the end of until the end, and I loved it, even with all of its cliche horror film moments. Plus, Amber Heard, Lyndsy Fonseca, and Danielle Panabaker all in one movie. Makes me want to dig up a few of my insane characters and find an asylum game.

Guys, guys, guys, guys, guess what? I FINISHED THE REWRITE OF MY NOVEL. If I were a drinker I'd get so smashed tonight.

So this happened.

Nancy Holder basically has my dream job--she gets to write fiction and fanfiction that's made into official canon books. I've been reading her stuff since Buffy and guh I want to be her.

Worked out again today for 40 minutes this time. I'm starting to understand the euphoria people describe feeling during exercise though I'm still not this lucky. (When I read that article I LOLed at first, then felt bad for the women who have that happen in a gym full of people). I've found that watching Teen Wolf while I work out helps motivate me to keep going for the full 40 minutes, so once I'm done with season 1 streaming, I need to think of a new show to watch instead until season 2 is on netflix. Or maybe I'll stop being lazy and finish season 2 of TVD finally. I've had it sitting on my nightstand forever now. idk why I always forget to watch it cuz season 2 got super intense, but yeah.

Stomach people, what's your recommendation for getting flat?

I've been such a lazy ass my entire life that this is all very new to me, and I'm starting to wonder why I never did this before. I've done sit-ups most of my life and weight lifting from time to time, but never running/walking like this. Not since elementary school when I raced cross-country, but that was lifetimes ago.

Anyway, also got a lot done on my novel, and I'm way psyched about working on it. My photoshop muse also randomly came back, idek.

I loved the new Total Recall. In fact, I've seen it twice now. I think it was both truer to the original short story it was based on and not a cheaply puppeted waste of time like the original.

Also I don't understand how anyone can complain about a movie that has Kate Beckinsale kicking Collin Farrell's ass in tight pants. I mean, those two people are fucking beautiful, and to see them fight? Me gusta.

So I talked to Greg about work. He calmed me down and seems pretty confident that it shouldn't affect my job, so here's hoping. Sorry for last night, I just sort of couldn't handle it and had a panic attack, but I am fine now I promise.

I'm really not interested in arguing, because even as nice as this plan may be for some people it's fucking screwing me over, so comments are turned off. cut for those who want to avoid politics.

That awesome moment when you work something out with a friend that was just a big misunderstanding and all is right with the world again.

Oh lj how I've neglected you. Here, have a few superquick movie reviews:

The Avengers: see it before you die no matter the cost. Whedon writing Marvel is inspired.

Prometheus: fucking amazing and an awesome concept for the origin of the aliens. Fassy makes a scary robot.

Snow White and the Huntsman: I love everything about this movie. Some people complained it was too slow, but I loved it for that even, and the score is amazing.

MIB3: Loved it. Epic time travel story of win.

Chernobyl Diaries: lmao stupid as hell but hilarious to make fun of.

So I thought Sunday that my stupid cold was giving me a fever (and I'm talking waking up shaking in a cold sweat fever, not my head's a little warm fever) but it turned out I had the flu. Spent most of Sunday night/Monday morning praying to the porcelain god, finally got to sleep for longer than ten minutes at a time when it slowed down around 3:30am. At this point my ribcage and throat felt like open wounds, and I took some drowsy cold meds to help me sleep, hoping the puking was over. Thankfully it was, but I started feeling nauseated again last night so I went to bed around 7pm. Slept until midnight when I woke up and couldn't go back to sleep, and I've been watching Rome ever since.

This show, I just...I have so many feels already.

That said, my ribcage still feels like a giant bruise (it was violent throwing up, not the simply gagging nonsense) so I've been trying not to laugh or cough, but the frakking cold is still there despite the flu being gone. Idk how I managed to get everything all at once, I guess the Fates just hate me.

In other news Lockout was brilliant (and will probably be a very underrated movie given the poor advertising for it), and I loved the perfection that was Cabin In The Woods

Talked my coworker into watching Dead Bodies since it's on netflix and the first thing he said about Andrew (after only a couple of scenes mind you) was 'fuck, he looks like he could be a Supernatural demon or a psycho in real life.'  And then we watched Flatliners (which is one of my favorite movies) and marveled at how very John Constantine Kiefer is in it.

If you're not a stan for one of the actors or Ghost Rider itself I would recommend waiting for the DVD. That said, there were things I loved about it.

on Ghost Rider: Spirit of Vengeance (spoilers behind the cut) )

Honestly, I think with this one they weren't taking themselves too seriously (it had the same weekend project for fun feel that Jonah Hex did, like a bunch of actors just messing around.) idgaf I loved it, even if there were moments where I was embarrassed for the movie makers.

In other news, waking up three hours before I have to go to work just because I crashed early with a migraine is uncool. It's just a run to one of the hospitals in Tucson, however, so I won't be gone all day hopefully. Using the drive up and back to plot/ponder things about my book so that I can get back on writing it again. I've fallen into horrible habits now that I'm catching up on rp of ignoring my own novels, so I may start setting aside an hour each night where I take a break from rp.

We'll see how well that works out I guess.

You guys have no idea how excited I am for this.
